TECHNICAL ASSIGNMENTS

Technical Assignment #1

The technical assignment which follows provides an introduction to the C5 Fuel Cell Facility project for the 167th Airlift Wing in Martinsburg, WV. Included in this report are the basics of the construction management techniques used by Kinsley Construction, Inc. for completing this project, as well as the existing conditions of the project.

 

Technical Assignment #2

This technical assignment takes a deeper look into the project schedule and costs of the project. Detailed estimates for the structure and general conditions are included. Site layout planning is also examined as it relates to the schedule and the sequencing of activities for the successful completion of the project. Finally, a synopsis of some of the ideas discussed at the PACE Roundtable 2009 is included.

 

Technical Assignment #3

This technical assignment provides information that was collected during an interview with the project manager for the C-5 Fuel Cell Facility concerning constructability challenges, schedule acceleration, and value engineering. It also includes some of the other problematic features of the project that I have identified along with analysis methods for four of these problems.

Its purpose, in addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants.
